Our Philanthropic Mission

The Camp mission can only be achieved with the philanthropic support of people who believe that it is important. At Sea Gull and Seafarer campers develop confidence to pursue higher skill levels but, most importantly, they learn to value and respect friends from many places and backgrounds. Inspired by Camp founders, Wyatt and Lil Taylor, Camp Sea Gull since 1948, and Camp Seafarer since 1961, have achieved excellence through the support of a dedicated community of parents, volunteers and alumni.

We believe that everyone benefits from a more diverse Camp community. Our philanthropic mission is to make the Sea Gull and Seafarer experience possible for children from all walks of life. Thanks to generous support, children from diverse geographic, cultural, religious and economic backgrounds will leave Sea Gull and Seafarer more confident and more appreciative of others. Working side-by-side with parents we can better prepare children for the future.
