Save the date for Run a Kid to Camp in 2027!
Who: Campers, parents, alumni, staff members, friends of Sea Gull and Seafarer
What: Wilmington Marathon, Half Marathon
When: February 26 - 27, 2027
Where: Wilmington, NC
Why: Camp Seafarer's Run a Kid to Camp (RAKTC) program began in 2000 when three members of Seafarer's leadership staff approached the directors with an idea: to use a marathon as a fundraising opportunity to send more children to Camp. Since then, more than 1,000 alumni, families and friends of Camp have trained for and run half or full marathons. This endowment, which provides camperships to girls of single parents, has sent more than 115 girls to Camp since its inception.

Runners
- To participate as a runner, you MUST register with both Camp AND the Wilmington Marathon.
- Camp's Runner Package includes RAKTC swag, snacks on Friday, Saturday breakfast and dinner on Saturday night. By registering for the Runner Package, you are also agreeing to raise an additional $500 for the Camp Seafarer Marathon Endowment. The registration link will be open soon!
Support Team
- Camp's Support Team Package includes RAKTC swag, snacks on Friday, Saturday breakfast and dinner on Saturday night. By registering for the Support Team Package, you are also agreeing to raise an additional $250 for the Camp Seafarer Marathon Endowment. The registration link will be open soon!
Saturday Dinner Only
- The Saturday Dinner Package is for parents, alumni and other friends of Camp who would like to only participate in the Saturday night dinner celebration. Dinner will be held at the Aloft Wilmington at Coastline Center. Package only includes Saturday night meal and participation in the post-race celebration. Optional fundraising. Hotel Room Block
- Housing will be on your own for all packages but we will have rooms blocked at the Aloft Wilmington at Coastline Center if you prefer to stay with the group. The Friday night RAKTC Kickoff, Saturday morning Pre-Race Pump-Up, and Saturday Celebration Dinner will all take place at this hotel. The room block link will be added soon!
